**Research Group Overview**
The research direction of Professor Hu Rongdang's group mainly focuses on the study of impacted tooth correction, the biomechanics of orthodontic correction, and the application of nanomaterials in the treatment of oral and systemic diseases. Particularly, in-depth research has been conducted on the clinical studies and therapeutic mechanisms of various types of impacted teeth, as well as on the growth and development of the craniofacial region. The clinical technology related to impacted teeth has been recognized as one of the first batch of advanced new clinical technologies and projects at the international level by Wenzhou Medical University.
**Research Areas**
1. Research and orthodontic treatment of developmental abnormalities and deformities in children's teeth and jaws;
2. Study of the mechanics of tooth movement;
3. Prevention of dental caries during orthodontic treatment;
4. Clinical research on morphology and treatment of various types of impacted teeth;
5. Research on the use of nanoprodrugs encapsulated by E. coli membranes for the treatment and immunomodulation of bacterial infections;
6. Application and research of nanohydrogels in the repair of diabetic wounds;
7. Mechanism study of periodontal disease and cardiovascular disease.
